New version on it's way. Here on 8/15/2026. All dimensions the same except the lid has new features.

The lid is now an outside fitting lid that you won't have to crimp or seal. Also, the lid will have a 5 mm (0.19685 inches) diameter hole in the middle for wires. 

 

Mu Metal Can used for shielding transformers inside microphones. This will fit transformers like the cinemag, ll1912, gn C36, AMI, etc.

    These fit over UTC ouncers

    If you're looking for affordable O-17s these do indeed fit over UTC Ouncers and other transformers of that format. Even the caps can provide a little extra shielding on the top of ouncers.
