The improvement on an amplifier is akin to what you get when you upgrade a power supply with a better transformer, or stiffer caps. things just "wake up" and are more responsive. The irony is that all of the wiring in the walls is all solid core, but all the amp manufacturer's use stranded cable for their power cords... doesn't make any sense.
