Just like The Reveal™, The Forte™ is a well-rounded cable designed to bring out the best in your instrument, especially the lows. The dual IGL-ECS™ conductors minimizes the effects of strand interaction, the largest source of distortion in cables, yet retains flexibility of a common stranded cable. High purity copper provides open and extended midrange and high frequencies without artificial etching or glare. Parallel conductor geometry minimizes strand interaction compared with braided shields. Cotton insulation wraps the conductor with a lower dielectric constant than polymers, to preserve micro-dynamics and resolution of detail. The carbon skin extruded over the primary lead reduces triboelectric noise. Low capacitance allows the cable to be used in long runs without high-frequency roll-off.
Silent Plug Information
The Forte™ Instrument Cable with Optional Neutrik Silent Plug for the same price as a regular cable. The Forte™ needs no introduction, the silent plug does. If you switch guitars often in a gig, The Forte™ with a Neutrik Silent Plug is the instrument cable for you. The plug will automatically short (mute) when you disconnect from a guitar. This will save your amp, you ears, and make the sound guy happy. Don't worry about muting everything. Just pull the plug.
Choose between the standard Neutrik connectors found on all Evidence Audio The Forte™ instrument cables or Neutrik Silent Plug with Gold connectors. Straight or right angle on either end. It is up to you, just let us know.
The silent plug is for use with instrument (guitar) applications only. Damage may occur if connected to an amplifier. Please note that the signal isn't muted with some types of active electric guitars which are equipped with tip-ring-sleeve jacks that tap to activate the guitar power supply. The silent plug itself is not covered in our warranty because it does have a lifetime of 10,000 mating cycles. We will replace the silent plug for the cost of the plug.

The Forte Instrument Cable
After talking with Kevin about the directional cable, I ordered two-fifteen foot Forte cables. This guitar cable provides a 'New' cleaner sound for an extra punch while preserving your unique tone. In addition, they seem to have added a little extra juice that enhances my sound while leaving the core tone of the amps, guitars, and finger technique in tact. I am more than happy with Geistnote's service...

The Forte' Instrument Cable
Best guitar cables I've ever used. Been a Mogami player for years. Heard about the Evidence line reading the ToneQuest Report. Took a chance and first bought the Lyric HG and wow, what a difference. Every note/chord is articulated in its highs, mids and lows. Purchased the Forte' (basically same cable) for areas in my rig that needed flexibility, and the Forte's do the job ! Excellent cable, may be the best in the world. Highly recommended and also highly recommend them from Geistnote/Kevin...

Great cable
Really love this cable, especially with silent jacks. Would love to have an option to have silent jacks on both sides.

Evidence Audio The Forte instrument cable
Over the last 25 or 30 years I've had a problem finding instrument cables that I like the sound of. I've even replaced faulty jacks trying to keep my 40 year old cables going, I still have two that I can't live without. The old cables are warm, detailed and musical. All the modern cables I have tried regardless of price point sound thin, sterile, very bright and fizzy on the top end. That sound can work with dark sounding humbuckers, but they really don't work with single coils. I love tele's. So after trying a couple of other Evidence Audio products that truly impressed me, I thought I'd try the Forte cables. Not only are they the best modern cable I've tried, but they might just be the best cable I've tried. They are warm very detailed and have none of the fizzy top end. They sound marvelous with all pickup types, through very different amps. They are very flexible, they coil very well and uncoil just as well. I probably have about a dozen hours playing time on them and they seem to sound better each time I use them. So far I can't find anything to complain about. They are very good.
