An extremely flat, uncolored, quiet, and neutral cable. Gotham Audio believes a cable should carry a signal without affecting the tone. We recommend this cable for studio use.
Gotham Audio GAC-2 AES/EBU Ultra Pro Details (10666)
Balanced 5 times shielded audio cable! Ultraflexible professional audio cable for microphones. 'Double Reussen shield', velvet matte non-light reflecting PVC-jacket material. A unique construction new invented by Gotham design. Each conductor is shielded with a lap shield 100% covering copper wires (7) (Reussen shield) plus a conductive separation layer (6) (aluminium coated polyester ). This conductor is twisted around conductor nr 2 and turn is hold in place with another aluminium coated layer, followed by Gotham's unique double Reussen shield. This cable is absolutely uncompromised to achieve maximum shielding possible while the flexibility and durability is still very good and the cable can be used in mobile applications as well. The cable is built with a stabile 110 ohm impedance and can be used for analogue balanced audio signals as well as digital audio signals in the AES-EBU format. Ideal cable for accomodation of XLR-connectors with corresponding 8mm diameter cable claps
We can also cover the cable with a protective clear sleeve, aka EasyCoil™, and/or our NoKink™ tertiary jacket that prevent the ends of an XLR cable to sag, or bend easily.
The EasyCoil™ technology, as the name suggests, assures the cables are extremely easy to coil due to the secondary jacket. This helps the cable to hold its form (when properly wound) and provides extra protection, resulting in a longer life. Our NoKink™ practice is geared toward protecting the ends of the cables. Since XLR connectors are heavy, cables often develop kinks at each end over time. Our tertiary “jacket” is applied to both ends to prevent this from happening. With these two features combined, the result is a high-quality, easy to manage cable that will go the distance and then some.
